Intellectual - basic

Skill Maintenance requirement
Moderate. Due to the constantly changing technologies, Electronics Technicians often take additional courses and study technical manuals to stay current.

Experience Prerequisites

Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment is required.

Education/Training Required

A Certificate or AS Degree in electronics is typically required, and given the current shortage of jobs, education is even more important.

Those who continue their education and earn at least a BS Degree open themselves to many possibilities as engineers.
