SUBJECT: Residency Requirement for WIA Services

Purpose of Bulletin:

The Alameda County Workforce Investment Board approved “residency” within the local Workforce Investment Area will NO LONGER be a requirement to receive intensive and training services. This applies to WIA Title I Formula Grants for adult and dislocated workers. Residency will only be considered when funds are limited.

Action:

The one-stop career centers may now provide intensive and training services without regard to residency. Residency will only be considered when funds are limited.
