ACTION BULLETIN

TO: One-Stop Career Centers

DATE: January 8, 2001

SUBJECT: Client Flow in the One-Stop Career Center System from Core to Intensive to Training Services

Purpose of Bulletin:

EASTBAY Works has established a common way for customers to flow from core to intensive to training services in the one-stop career centers regardless of their eligibility. The Alameda County Workforce Investment Board is transmitting the procedures as an attachment to this bulletin. The standardization of the client flow will provide an equitable way to determine when customers should receive additional services. A customer’s eligibility for targeted programs is determined through the sequence of services.

Workforce Investment Act Section 134

Procedure:

See the attachment

Action:

Each certified one-stop career center will comply with the attached procedures. The one-stop career centers must prepare an implementation plan for administering the client flow from core to intensive to training services effective September 1, 2000.

The Alameda County Workforce Investment Board Staff will review the written procedures at the one-stop career center indicating how the one-stop career center will administer the client flow from core to intensive to training services.

The Implementation Plan must be submitted to the assigned Program Liaison by February 15, 2001.
