REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) For
ALAMEDA COUNTY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD
NORTH CITIES ONE-STOP CAREER CENTER

A request for proposals (RFP) for services designed under Title I of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 to provide a full service one-stop career center in the North Cities Area (Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, and Piedmont) is available. Full service is defined to include universal services, employer services, adult services, and dislocated worker services. The proposal will also require letters of support from community partners since the community partnership is a significant component of a one-stop career center.

The two agencies currently providing the one-stop career center services in the North Cities Area received $394,289 in funds for PY 2004/2005. The successful bidder will receive the North Cities share of the adult and dislocated workers funds, which are allocated in the spring of each year. Service designation will be conferred for up to a three-year period (July 1, 2005 – June 30, 2008), contingent upon availability of funds from the State of California, successful performance, determination of need and WIA reauthorization.
