TO: All Youth Providers

SUBJECT: Transition from PY 2007-08 to PY 2008-09

Purpose of Bulletin:

The purpose of this bulletin is two-fold:

1. To inform the Youth Providers about the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board (ACWIB) expectation that 100% of the PY 2007-08 participant case files are exited on or before June 30, 2008; and

2. To inform the Youth Providers that though PY 2008-09 participant recruitment and application dates can begin on or after June 1, 2008, the initial enrollment date must be on or after July 1, 2008.

Background:

The PY 2007-08 program will sunset on June 30, 2008. Participant carry forwards from PY 2007-08 to PY 2008-09 will not be allowed.

PY 2008-09 begins a new three-year procurement cycle beginning July 1, 2008 and ending June 30, 2011, with new youth providers and a new program design.

Action:

· Youth Providers MUST exit 100% of participants enrolled in PY 2007-08 on or before June 30, 2008.

· Participants enrolled in PY 2007-08, who providers plan to continue service, must be exited and recertified for PY 2008-09.

· Youth providers may begin the PY 2008-09 recruitment and application process on or after June 1, 2008, however, the initial enrollment date MUST be on or after July 1, 2008.
