REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) For
TARGETED YOUTH SERVICES
ALAMEDA COUNTY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD

This is a request for proposals (RFP) for services designed under Title I, Chapter 4 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 to provide youth educational and employment activities to eligible in-school and out-of-school youth between the ages of 14-21 of Alameda County, excluding the city of Oakland.

Approximately $662,000 is currently available from WIA funds for Countywide services and/or services to target groups (i.e., In-School Youth, Out-of-School Youth, high risk, foster youth, teen parents, youth offender). Services to special target groups are highly encouraged. Service designation will be conferred for a two-year period, contingent upon availability of funds from the State of California commencing July 1, 2003. Equitable access to services must be provided throughout the full geographic region, i.e. to eligible residents of all cities and townships in Alameda County.
