Request for Proposals - WIA Youth Services PY 2004

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) For
ALAMEDA COUNTY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD

“WIA TARGETED YOUTH SERVICES – TRIVALLEY SERVICE AREA” and
“WIA AT-RISK OLDER YOUTH SERVICES – ALL SERVICE AREAS”

A request for proposals (RFP) for services designed under Title I, Chapter 4 of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 to provide youth educational and employment activities to eligible youth between the ages of 14-21 of Alameda County, excluding the city of Oakland, is being announced.

An estimated $90,000 will be available from WIA funds for youth services to participants residing in the Tri-Valley service area. A minimum of $200,000 is currently available from WIA funds for countywide services to at-risk target groups as described in the RFP. Service designation will be conferred for a one-year period, contingent upon availability of funds from the State of California commencing July 1, 2004.
