SUBJECT: Grievance and Complaint Procedures


Purpose of Bulletin:

This bulletin revises AB-#8 the Local Workforce Investment Board policy on Grievance and Complaint Procedures.

Action:

This bulletin replaces previous action bulletin AB-#8, Grievance and Complaint Procedures. Please disregard any previous policies, procedures and action bulletins on this subject. Entities may elect to utilize a pre-existing (Non-WIB/WIA) internal grievance/complaint procedure. All internal grievance and complaint procedures will be reviewed by the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) staff for compliance with WIB procedures outlined in the attachment. Please submit your agency’s procedures to your Program Liaison. Reasonable effort must be made by One-Stop operators, One-Stop partners and other service providers to ensure that these procedures are provided in understandable language to youth and limited-English speaking individuals affected by the Workforce Investment System. Please distribute and discuss with appropriate staff and any partner staff involved in WIA client services.
