SUBJECT: Comprehensive One-Stop Career Center Certification
Purpose of Bulletin:
The Local Workforce Investment Board is authorized, with the agreement of the Chief Local Elected Official, to certify one-stop operators. The certification assures that each one-stop operator meets the minimum standards included in the Workforce Investment Act. The four Workforce Investment Areas included in EASTBAY Works have worked together to create the criteria to assure standard criteria in all of the one-stop career centers across the two-county region.

Procedure:
The Alameda County Workforce Investment Board Staff will use the Comprehensive One-Stop Career Center Certification Criteria for One-Stop Career Center Operators to determine if a one-stop career center is qualified to provide the one-stop career center services. The Alameda County Workforce Investment Board will review the recommendations and certify the one-stop career center. Action:
A one-stop career center must be certified using the attached criteria in order to continue to provide services under the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board system. The Alameda County Workforce Investment Board Staff will review the one-stop career center binder with the written explanation of how the center will meet the criteria. Once the center meets the criteria, the Staff will make a recommendation for certification by the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board at their meeting.
